Celebration and Exploration

Plan to join us at...

  • LUNA : An Art-Erotica Festival.  Saturday, April 27, 2002 to be held at the Holiday Inn Bordeaux in the beautiful Bowties nightclub and in the Wellington Room.  Featuring the Shadows Of The Fire bellydance troupe as well as music, visual art, poetic/linguistic art, and performance art.  This show will focus somewhat on the art culture of the middle east, from ancient to modern time. Meet the Artists: Artist's reception (open to the public) 6 - 8 pm.  Show: 8 pm - 2 am.  Advance tickets: $8.00  / $10.00 at the door day of show - information: 910-323-0111
  • MIDSUMMER'S SUN:  Arts festival revolving around myth and magic.  Sunday, June 23 12:00 - 6:00 pm.  This year, we will hold the Midsummer's Sun show at Rowan Street Park, which Sun & The Moon Productions 'adopted' in 2001 in conjunction with the Fayetteville Department of Parks and Recreation's Adopt-A-Site program.  In addition to a great show, this year, patrons will be encouraged to purchase a young azaelea plant on site, and plant it in the park with a loved one.  We will celebrate the arts and our community pride by pitching in to beautify this lovely city park.  Information: 910-306-9587
  • TRIBAL MOON: celebrating the arts of Native American Culture.  In 2001, Sun & The Moon Productions began a grant program administered through the University Of North Carolina Pembroke for a NC Native American Artist.  Please watch this site for date and time in the fall of 2002 to be announced.

The Events

Sun & The Moon Arts Festivals are visually stimulating, inspiring, entertaining and provide the perfect setting for artists to meet and socialize as well as provide a unique marketplace for their works.  These gatherings are wonderful outlets for artists and artist-friendly businesses to promote themselves.  Best of all, there is no fee or registration cost to become involved.  Sun & The Moon Productions are designed and run by creative people for creative people.

Although some of the festivals have a small ticket cost for our patrons, we are a not-for-profit organization and all of our proceeds support the production costs of each show (the proceeds of "Tribal Moon" are donated to the Young Native American Artist's Grant).
